Q: Do I need experience to join a class?
A: Not at all! The club offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes.
Q: What age groups do you teach?
A: The club offers kid (ages 4 and above), youth, teen, and adult classes.

A: The club currently offers foil and epee classes.

A: Private lessons can be booked through our coaches. Availability varies by coach.
trial class
Q: Is there a trial class available?
A: Yes! The club offers trial class for RM50 (inclusive of fencing equipment) for newcomers. Booking is required in advance. This is a great way to experience fencing before committing.

Q: What should I wear for the trial class?
A: Please come dressed in:
- Sport attire
- Long track pants
- Covered sports shoes (ideally with flat soles)
Q: What else should I bring for the trial class?
A: Water bottle, towel and spare clothes.

Q: How are the fees structured?
A: You only pay for the classes and/or lessons, based on the package of your choice. Each package comes with a set validity period. There are no additional membership fees, no sign-up fees, and no hidden charges — simple and transparent.

Q: When does the package validity period start?
A: The validity period begins from the date of your first class in the package, or one month after the payment date — whichever comes first.
Q: Can I extend my package validity?
A: No, classes must be completed within the package’s validity period. The validity cannot be extended. However, our weekly schedule has multiple classes spread throughout, so for example if you miss a week or a month, you can attend more sessions the following week to catch up — as long as all classes are completed within the validity period.

Q: Do I need to buy my own fencing equipment?
A: Starters can rent fencing gear (mask, jacket, glove, weapon, etc.) from the club. Over time, you are encouraged to invest in personal equipment.

Q: Where can I buy fencing equipment?
A: The club sells a full range of fencing gear for all three weapons (foil, épée, sabre), from entry to competitive level.

Q: Is fencing equipment expensive?
A: Not as much as people think! A complete entry-level set starts from around RM1500 (including fencing bag, mask, clothings, glove, weapon, socks, and other essentials ) — all in, except fencing shoes.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: The club accepts cash, online bank transfers and digital payments.
Q: When is payment made?
A: All fees must be paid in advance or renewed, prior to each class.
Q: What is your refund policy?
A: Payments are non-refundable, non-exchangeable nor transferable, regardless of attendance or changes in personal circumstances.

Q: Does the club participate in competitions?
A: Yes! The club attends local, regional, and national tournaments. Members will be informed of such events. The club also host in-house competitions for members.
Q: Can beginners compete?
A: Absolutely, once comfortable with the basics.
Q: Do I need a license to compete?
A: Only official/selected competitions require a valid license. Otherwise, most competitions would not require it.
