The 3rd Theseira Open Epee Championships took place on Sunday, 18 May 2025.
The tournament is named in honor of Ronnie Ignatius Theseira, an Olympian, pioneering figure and founder of Malaysian fencing 🇲🇾🤺 .
Theseira’s legacy lives on and will always be remembered ❤️.
Thank you to all fencers, coaches, and referees for being part of this meaningful event.
Saif emerged as the top Malaysian entry in the competition. A testament to the tremendous hard work from both Saif and Head Coach Andrew Mok.
Saif finished 149th out of 212 world-class fencers, becoming the 2nd youngest fencer to qualify for the Table of 128 in this open-age event.

Saif put up a solid fight in both the individual and team events.
In the (U20) Junior Men’s Foil Individual, he qualified for the elimination rounds and finished 119th out of 161. A commendable result for a 14-year-old on the global stage.
